For 2025, Wildwood will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Back in 1990, citizens of unincorporated St. Louis County (what is now known as Wildwood), started a 5-year-long incorporation effort. The effort was entirely led and funded by passionate citizens determined to have a say in local government decisions. On September 1, 1995, their hard work paid off, and Wildwood was created.
To celebrate this anniversary, the Wildwood Celebration Commission held a design contest last fall for a commemorative logo. Michael Burgess, art director of locally based Capture Technologies, won the contest with the rustic logo pictured above.
Wildwood is also celebrating by hosting a 30-by-30 challenge encouraging residents to get out and complete local activities by the end of the year. By posting photos of the activities with the hashtag #WildwoodMO to social media, residents can be entered to win prizes throughout the year.
